After graduating from the prestigious École d’Arts Appliqués, Olivier Berni gained experience in design and commercial architecture before joining the Jacques Garcia interior design agency in 1999. He honed his talent in the position of project director, working with renowned establishments such as Costes or Lancel.
Other interior design projects for outstanding private residences allowed him to confirm his taste for refined and relaxed atmospheres. Armed with such experience, a couple of years later he decided to open his own interior design agency. Our "Volanges" trim collection
The “Volanges” collection, created in collaboration with the trim manufacturer “Houlès,” brings the splendor of the Age of Enlightenment into contemporary style. The collection’s name is borrowed from Mademoiselle de Volanges, a character from Laclos’s novel “Dangerous Liaisons,” whose story unfolds in the intimate interiors of the 18th century. These were the salons and alcoves that served as the stage for intrigues, rivalries, and passionate love affairs.
“Volanges” evokes the lightness, sophistication, and grace of a quintessentially French art of living. The collection is both delicate, in its association of tonal harmonies brightened with touches of complementary colors, and bold with its uncommon tiebacks, braids, and fringes. Adorned with a multitude of refined details, these trims with sophisticated graphic forms invite themselves into classic and elegant decors.

The work of the Olivier Berni Intérieurs decoration agency is showcased by a publishing house from Hong Kong. The book titled "French Style Villa", published by HI-Design for Christmas 2014, includes many pages dedicated to one of the agency's latest projects.
Interior Designer Oliver Berni was given the task to write one of the prefaces for this book. He gives his definition of what constitutes a typical Parisian style of decoration and goes back to one of the most beautiful periods of French decorative arts.
